A brand identity for an organoid biotech, grown from one continuous movement and published as the online guideline its teams build from.
Lambda Biologics grows patient-derived organoids for drug discovery. The identity is built from one idea: the lambda waveform, a single continuous movement from one state to another, drawn as a symbol and repeated into every pattern, grid and detail the brand uses.
The guidelines are where it lives day to day, so they are presented here as they were designed - an online guideline with a page for each foundation. Use the sidebar to move through it.

Color
Our palette is built around Lambda Green — a deep, living green that carries the biological and scientific foundation of the brand. Vital Green brings energy and light; neutrals keep layouts clear and calm.

Lambda Green
Lambda Green should be present across all brand touchpoints as the hero color. Large fields of green are powerful, but green can also arrive through imagery, materials and light: graded micrographs, a green-lit sample, a glass form. Use it with intention, never as decoration.
Grade brand imagery — renders, abstracts and illustrative micrographs — toward Lambda Green. Product and sample photography stays true to life: never shift the color of culture media, stains or fluorescence.

Supporting colors
Deep Bio Green adds depth and structure. Cell Mist and White give space and calm surfaces; Aurora Black carries text. Vital Green is a high-energy accent for highlights, data and calls to action — never a full background for long text.

Tints & functional
Each brand color extends into a five-step ramp for interface states, charts and layered layouts. Functional colors are reserved for meaning.

Color modes
No single color mode reproduces our palette everywhere. Use the right mode for the medium so Lambda Green looks the same on a screen, a poster and a protocol.
| Color mode | Application | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| RGB / HEX | Screen | Most accurate; the master definition of the palette |
| Pantone | Preferred for print; match spot colors on a press proof | |
| CMYK | Less vibrant; printers should match Pantone where possible |
Accessibility
Good accessibility starts with legible text. We follow WCAG 2.1 and aim for AAA (7:1) on body text wherever possible; AA (4.5:1) is the minimum. Vital Green is designed to carry dark text, not to be used as text on white.
Incorrect usage
Small shifts add up. Keep the palette exact.
Don’t use off-palette colors
No olive, mint, teal or lime substitutes.
Don’t substitute Lambda Green
Use the exact HEX; no “close enough” greens.
Don’t eyedrop values
Copy values from this page or the libraries.
Don’t make muddy gradients
Green-to-green gradients stay clean, never grey or brown.
Long paragraphs of body text set on a full Vital Green field tire the eye quickly.
Don’t flood Vital Green
Accent only; never a full background behind body text.
Don’t use the wrong color mode
RGB for screens, Pantone/CMYK for print.
